Watch Me Grow Album / The Woodlands TX First Year Packages

I so wish I had one of these gorgeous keepsake albums for each of my own kids!

I offer three different Watch Me Grow Packages that allow families to save money while documenting important milestone’s through the entire first year of their child’s life.  Each session is a family session so this allows siblings to be captured as well….we can’t let the babies have all of the fun!

My favorite thing about these packages is that no matter which Watch Me Grow package you decide on, every Watch Me Grow client receives a gorgeous leather bound heirloom album that contains favorite images from each session.  You guys, I cannot even begin to explain to you how beautiful these books are.  I get teary eyed myself just looking through them seeing how much these babies have grown and changed over the year.

Each album is custom designed by myself choosing from images that have been selected from each session.  Covers are chosen from a variety of beautiful leather selections and embossed with the child’s name and birthdate. They truly are such a keepsake that you will want to display in your home and you and your family will love looking through for years to come.

Steel / The Woodlands TX In Home Lifestyle baby photographer

Usually I schedule newborn sessions within 2-3 weeks after the baby is born.  Many of us know how crazy life right after a newborn is born can be, so sometimes this doesn’t always happen, and that’s quite alright, because in home baby sessions are some of the best!

I adore this family and have been blessed to work with them several times before.  You may recognize their sweet faces from seeing them often on my blog.  I was over the moon when momma let me know that they were expecting another little one.  We decided schedule their “newborn” session similar to when we scheduled big sister, Riley’s “newborn”….when the baby was a couple months old.

This may seem a little counterintuitive, but I LOVE this age.  The babies are still so little, but they are also so much more alert and maybe even gifting us with a few smiles!

Mom and dad are *hopefully* getting a little more sleep by then too, and everyone is settling in to their new “normal”.

I love being able to not only get pictures of the newest little one, but also big sister.  There were feedings, dance parties, snuggling, and story time breaks, and I continued to press my shutter throughout it all.  I love what we were able to capture.

Gabriel / The Woodlands TX In Home Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

Gabriel was pretty alert and awake for our entire session, and I didn’t mind it one bit!

When I first started my business several years ago, newborn AWAKE babies made me nervous.  Ha!  I had this idea from seeing pictures all over Pinterest of perfectly, curled up, naked, sleeping babies that that is what I needed to do.  So I would sometimes spend HOURS during a session shushing, dripping in sweat (because the room had to be WARM), waiting and then waiting some more for those sweet babies to fall asleep.  Sometimes it worked beautifully, and sometimes…it just didn’t.  Babies didn’t want to stay asleep or be in an awkward curled up position….or be completely naked for long periods of time!   I could see the stress on my clients’ faces back then because everyone thought we needed that one perfect shot so they could send out their birth announcements with those “Pinterest worthy” pictures.

It took me a couple of years to realize those weren’t the pictures I was drawn to anyways.  The ones that gave me all the feels were the ones where that sweet baby was curled up in his mama’s arms, or that little week old little girl grabbed at daddy’s finger and wouldn’t let go.  I loved the pictures that captured that moment of a big brother smothering his little brother with kisses, not because we told him too, but because he literally could not keep his hands off of him!   I love the yawns, the piercing eyes, and even the cries.  I love when we lay them down and they reach their hands up by their face and mom says, “I swear that’s what she was doing in all of my ultrasounds”.

Boyle / Hughes Landing The Woodlands TX Family Photographer

This family woke up early to meet me for pictures….or if we are being honest, and as any family with small children knows….they were probably already up anyways!

Most natural light family photographers like to schedule sessions either very early in the morning or just before sunset in the evening.  We chase the beautiful light and those times usually gift you with that gorgeous, soft, filtered light.

Early morning sessions are also great because kids are well rested and ready to play!  When the session is over, everyone can go grab coffee or this little guy’s request…Chick Fill A!  I smile when I talk about chicken minis too.

Meet Norah / Conroe Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

I’m so excited to share this lifestyle newborn session with you!  This little girl is so perfect and gorgeous, and I’m pretty sure her moms think so too!

This month has been busier than any other May I can remember…so many babies, and I absolutely love it!   I love getting to snuggle them and watch them settle into their own poses…they don’t need me for that!  It’s so fascinating to me to watch these little ones, who already have such strong preferences of their own when they are only days old.  Norah wanted her hands right up by her face for most of the session and was so content to just be held in mom’s arms.

I think it’s so interesting that many times parents will tell me when they watch me photograph these babes in their favored positions, that they had these same preferences in the womb.  From my own experience, I think there is a good chance that years from now, these kiddos will still have some of the same preferences they have had from early on.  That’s what I love about baby led posing and lifestyle photography…each baby is uniquely and wonderfully made and no newborn session will ever be the same as another.

Outdoor Maternity Session in The Woodlands

This gorgeous couple welcomed their little boy just a few weeks ago.  I’m so glad they took advantage of one of The Watch Me Grow Packages so we could sneak this maternity session in before every other session becomes all about their new little guy.  Life will never be the same for them again and I’m sure they can’t imagine it any other way.

Watch Me Grow Album / The Woodlands TX Lifestyle Photographer

I am thrilled to now be offering albums as an optional add on to any session or package.  In fact, all of my Watch Me Grow packages and newborn sessions now include one!

You can choose from several different sizes and covers as well.

These keepsake books have lay flat pages and the option for linen or leather covers.  I personally design each one using your favorite images from each session.

More information on pricing for these and other optional add ons can be found here.

This particular album that I’m personally delivering a momma today is a 10×10 30 spread linen cover with gold embossing.

Ethan is ONE! / The Woodlands Baby’s First Birthday Photographer

I always have such mixed feeling when I shoot the last Watch Me Grow session.  I have gotten to watch this gorgeous blue eyed boy grow up over the last year starting with his newborn photo session, in home 4 month lifestyle session, 8 month sitter session last fall, and now, finally we celebrated his first birthday with a photo session!

We had a gorgeous morning and I loved trying out a brand new location, taking full advantage of spring blooms and The Woodlands pathways.  This time of year in Houston is pretty hard to beat.

I’m so glad this family decided to take advantage of the Watch Me Grow Package and album add on!  I’m delivering a gorgeous album of a year of memories to this momma today and could not be more excited to share it with her!  They were able to save over $500 by taking advantage of the Watch Me Grow packages and now have so many photos to look back on and remember all of these fun milestones and stages of the first year!

Rhodes / The Woodlands TX In Home Newborn Photographer

I loved meeting this family in their home to shoot Rhodes newborn session.  Rhodes is the youngest of three and this lifestyle newborn session worked out perfectly.  As many third babies end up being, he was pretty “go with the flow”, and so was our session.

Older siblings wanted to tickle his feet?  Great!  Big sister wanted to cuddle him but little brother was more interested in showing him his Buzz Lightyear, even better.  This newborn was a little more alert than some, and that didn’t really matter.  One reason I love lifestyle newborn sessions so much is that there are no rules…the baby doesn’t have to sleep, there is no set order of shots, and Buzz Lightyear is totally allowed.  We work around what works for your family because I’m capturing you guys as you are..and all of the love, craziness and giggles that come with that.

To say this family has had a busy 2018 would be a huge understatement.  They relocated to The Woodlands from Dallas only two months ago, sold their old house, bought a new one, moved into temporary housing, started a new school, had a baby, and are now getting to move into their new home.  Whew.  I’m tired just reading “had a baby”.  This mom is my hero.

Romero / The Woodlands Spring TX Natural Maternity Photographer

I don’t know if I’ve ever had to reschedule a session due to weather more times than we did this one.

I usually try and shoot maternity sessions between 33 and 35 weeks in order to show off those beautiful bumps but allowing mom to still feel comfortable.  We scheduled this session originally to take place when Iza was 32/33 weeks along.  We ended up finally doing the session when she was 38 weeks because we had to reschedule it what for felt like a bajillion times.  February was quite dreary around here…and rainy….and COLD.   I don’t mind doing a session when it’s cloudy (although I do LOVE me some sunshine peeking through!) But I draw the line when it’s rainy, blanket grey, and there is no green to be seen because everything is brown and dead.

We knew we only had one more shot at getting this session done before this little guy arrives any day now.  Last Friday the clouds opened up and I finally saw that bright thing up in the sky that seemed like a long lost friend!  How great it was to finally see the sun again!  We shot at a new location to me (which I always love), and it worked out nicely for the family because it just happened to be in their neighborhood.  You know I wasn’t going to make this 38 week trooper of a mom go too far!

I’m going to go ahead and say that I never looked this good pregnant when I was 20 weeks along, let alone 38!  This momma just radiates beauty.  I know she is so excited to welcome this little boy and I cannot wait for our Fresh 48 session whenever he decides to join us!
